About Us

WISE Network Inc is a registered 501(c)(3) non profit organization that serves the Hartford and New Haven under-served communities.  The organization was founded by Karen Bell, a successful Connecticut Realtor in 2012.  The dream of starting WISE was born while Karen worked for the Hartford school system as an administrator.  

There Karen had the opportunity to connect with many parents (women in particular) and realized a dire need that existed for finding advancement opportunities and resources in the under-served inner communities.  

Karen became a mentor to many inner city mothers and their children.  She walked them through planning and achieving personal and professional goals, as well as assisting their children with improving their academic scores. Through this, Karen became the go-to person for information and resources for parents and coworkers.

This inspired Karen to launch WISE Network Inc, whose purpose was to bring together a sisterhood of women to help her disseminate the collaborative knowledge of resources, education and advancement opportunities to other women and children in the Greater Hartford & New Haven under-served communities.
